My take on the Magnetic Headpiece.

Well, a month ago, my Lovely OH bought me a Barnsby headpiece to try on my monster.

Horse has a history of being VERY uptight and stressy. Also a bit stiff on one side.

I thought those who may be looking to buy one, might find this useful.

First off, I found it a pain up the arse that I had to put it on for an hour before I rode but readjusted my routine to work around it. ie, mucking out and farting about before I rode instead.

The result? It has made no difference to my horse in that he is no less stressy than he was before (no probs with teeth, back, feed etc).

I carried on with it for 2 weeks but there was no obvious change.

BUT, he seemed a little more supple through his poll, so I am going to continue with it.

I tried one on Dexter 3 times and it made no difference at all

I left it on for an hour b4 i rde aswell

I have one for my younster and it really works but then again tried it on my mare and makes no difference to her !!

works brilliantly on my 19yo gelding - stressy and can be very tight in the neck and unflexible through the poll - won't ride him wothout it.

OH's mare 15yo chestnut and can be quite shapr/tense - he thinks there is some difference but not to the amount of my gelding - he still uses it though
