And very sad I am too :(

I don't want to send it back as will lose out on the postage both ways. So where is the best place to sell it on? There is one on ebay at the moment that I am keeping my eye on to see how much it makes, but hate having to pay paypal fees and ebay fees - would need to make over £200 just to get my money back. Just about to put it on preloved - anywhere else I can try? It is a 17" MW dressage

I'm a bit worried mine wont either (I havent tried with a girth yet,,,)
Saddler coming this weekend.

You did know your supposed to be able to mould it to a new shape???
though i'm not sure this would be cost effective

i am just selling 2 saddles at the moment on ebay but TBH they dont seem to be making much 1 of them i really love but it doesnt fit my new horse its a leather gfs pro dressage saddle i treid to do a trade in with my saddler but they really dont do it these days so a bit miffed

Hmm - saddlers just up the road from me does this. I wonder how much it will cost? How do they go about doing it? I can't take her there, but if they come to me surely they'll have to take saddle away to alter - do they take a template of her back?

dont make such stupid comments of course not but one companys idea of a wide and another are two different things, hence me bothering to ring and ask QUESTIONS rather than just go OMG cheap saddle must buy buy

I asked in my saddlers about altering these saddles and they have to be sent back to the workshop to be heated and remolded (unless your saddler has te equipment). They are bringing out one with the adjustable gullet system like Wintec etc that you can change yourself at home but not until early next year. I was very tempted when the £179 thread went up bit figured that in a few weeks there would be quite a few appearing on eBay with the line 'only sat on a couple of times' Far to early in the morning to be so cynical but I'm bored at work already..........

I got mine couple of days ago, it seemed ok and horse went well in it however I have a sneaky suspicion it might be a tiny bit tight on his shoulders but am getting it checked out in a weeks time by Milners in Melton Mowbray, they can adjust it but its going to cost me £95 to do it. worth it though as i feel its a nice saddle otherwise. Reverting back to old trusty Isabelle Werth saddle on the meantime!

Well mine is being altered as we speak - will be ready first thing in the morning. Cost me just £35, so saddle is still a bargain!

Who is doing it zoon? Have they taken a template or anything? I'd be interested in getting mine altered, especially for £35 !!

Saddleworld in Kent - I live up the road so only cost me the price of the heat alteration of the saddle.

If you live further out they will charge call out to fit and postage back to you. Template was taken with a fexicurve just behind point of shoulder, so you can do that yourself and post saddle to them or drop off. If you need them to post back it is £15. I know a courier who will do saddles for £11.99 - used them lots and they have always been fab.

Obviously if you skip the call out and fitting there is no guarantee the tree is actually the right shape even if the saddle has been altered to fit over the point that you templated!
