My 'thin' horses

just ignore them, they look fine for horses coming out of winter. my old boy gets lami as soon as he looks at a blade of spring grass, so i sectioned off part of the field at my old yard and he lived in there. until some nasty people started telling me the same, that he was too thin and i was starving him and i didn't give a **** about my horses. had me in floods of tears and i went and took photos of him from every angle and took them into work (i worked in a tack shop at the time) and showed them to all my colleagues, all the company reps and loads of customers. they all said he was fine. i moved yards in the end. :D your horses, your rules xx

good lord some people aren't happy unless a horse is a huge fat wobbly lump all year round. All of mine are on the lean side at the moment but when the vet came to do vaccs on monday i commented that the big girl was looking awful and he said no she was fine, the problem is lack of muscle not her being underweight. It is hard though when you're surrounded by fatties:eek:;)
