and my gran and Granada have had to be evacuated out their house as our town is now the river carron.

It is very scary i havent seen anything like this in all my days and have never had to go tho this.
The river burst its banks and it just flowing wild. you cant get in one entrance as its all flooded.my brother and his girlfriend are trapped in their flat and cant get out but he is 2nd floor so OK i hope. And my dad is by a river to.

it is very frightening i burst in to tears when the water starting coming in to my grand parents house

Luckily my horses are outside the town but their field is getting flooded to.

It's pretty crazy around here. My rep as a yard resident madwoman was confirmed when we pranced off sideways down the road in the rain tonight. Lots of flooding on the trails.

I hope the damage in your grandparents' house isn't too bad, M_C_M!
 
Are your grandparents in Elgin? That town always floods, the residents have had it so bad.

We're on the side of a hill so thankfully we never flood here but my BF's big shed has flooded, the water was up to the horse lorry!
 
Best wishes to your grand parents. No doubt they are finding this very traumatic.

When it is safe to return to their home make sure someone takes plenty of photos of the damage. Do this before anything is removed or cleaned.

We have had flood damage - minor in comparison - but the loss adjuster stated that our photos made settling the claim much easier.
