OK - soppy stuff first - these are snow pics but I am primarily posting these pics to give hope to anyone with an itchy/allergic/atopic dog.
This time last year, B was literally pulling his own hair out, despite near-constant supervision and by New Year's Eve he was completely bald from his chin, down over his chest, his belly and his inner arms and thighs and a few spots on his face (he was rubbing it along the ground :() the skin was blackened, thickened and stinking, he was bleeding a lot of the time and he was miserable.
But thanks to an amazing vet, a very carefully managed diet and antihistamines twice a day, he is back on track.
The tufty hair on his chest and throat is not the result of poor grooming, but total regrowth :D his joy and zeal for life despite all his bloody issues never ceases to amaze me, so here's to you B, you've been through the mill but always come out wagging your tail x

What's dis on by dose?!

Every GSD owner will know what I mean when I say 'Hunting Face' or 'Oh Crap Time To Put The Lead Back On Before He Tanks Face' :p

And Little Sister, without question, the strangest wee dog I have ever owned - hates walking, loves fence-running, her brother's face says it al!!!

Thanks! It's their big one, or 'day run', or 'Alcatraz' or 'The Stockade' - the builders just decided it was cheaper to fence it completely than use wire and that's what we came home to!!! Ma was not impressed!!!
They have wee individual night runs with flags, roofing and kennel boxes too. They have a lean-to in the bigger run.

Ooh they are both so handsome. :D Or beautiful in Bella's case ;) but I always think GSDs look more handsome that pretty. Hopefully she won't be too offended :D

Heh Prisoner cell block H(hounds!!) I was looking at something similar for myself in the future, but they arent cheap in steel at all! Very pretty, but very expensive!

You missed out one person in that list of thanks, yourself for battling on and refusing to be beaten by his problems.
Lovely pics, and oh yes I know that hunting face so well. Nice forward reach on Bella in that last pic.:p

Lovely photos, especially the first one :) You would hardly know he ever had a problem!

And it's not just GSD owners who know the Hunting Face - when you have a whippet who can be a mile away in less than 2 minutes it tends to hone your reaction speeds  :D

That sounds a bit drastic Kitty - can you not find an apartment to live in? :D :D :D.

They look like they are having a blast CC. Well done on persevering with B, he looks lovely and thank goodness he's got his fur back with all that snow around :).

You managed a walk in daylight then? Fab pics of both of them. looks like B's about to send you and the camera flying :D

That dog's lucky to have you, imagine how his problems would have been treated (or not) in other hands!
