prudunce no that not him as a foal, I bought him as a 5 yo. the foal does however have the same sire as Frankie, hence why you thought they look alike!

What wonderful photos

well done you! I was walking the intro and saw the water and had a little look at that jump in, eek!!!

I love the one at 20b! did you have to jump it on the angle? it makes the fence so much bigger on that angle and he is literally turning himself iside out to get over it what a star he is, and you can really see the effort on his face in the sj. I think once he has sussed the height has gone up a bit he won't be taken off guard by the sj and will be flying round clear he is such a tryer for you and that's all credit to you and your careful producing of him. HUGE WELL DONE

Thank you

Chole you did have to jump it at an angle but not so acute, jumping it on the angle was the quickest route, 6 strides from 20a, you could swing out left and jump it straight then turn right to get back on track after. After loosing my knitting at 20a i ended up on a very tight angle, bless him he just locked on and gave me a huge jump!

Cor, what a lovely horse - how is he bred? Those SJs are HUUUUGE and that drop into the water

Great set of pics, he is a lovely honest boy isn't he - really well done again to both of you.

I am glad it at least looked easier than it felt :-)

Thanks AR and TPO

Thank you Jul, he is by the coloured show horse Masterpiece out of a 14.2 mare (connie/new forest X). he was very honest bless him, he helped me out a few times!

Fantastic photos, and he's obviously scopey and clever so the showjumping will come. Well done, it's always good to get the first one out of the way!

Lovely - didn't get round to commenting on your report, but I did read it.

You're now in the lovely position of being able to think 'well we've done one and it wasn't so bad and we did OK so it'll be a lot easier next time'. I know what I mean, even if no-one else does!

Lovely photos - also I was very excited to see someone else using Claredon boots - I love them although they seem to have fallen out of favour with lots of people!

Out of interest - what are your long boots? I like the cut.
