Hello all you lovely helpful people! Ive been unable to visit HHO much due to the fact i stupidly shut my daughters laptop with a pen lid on the key board- resulting in a smashed screen! Woops Popular mother award!
Anyway, PC pony has done very little which i know is rubbish of me but my options are currently very limited as our fields are under water Turn one way out of the yard and its a VERY busy tourist village not the best with the worlds spookiest nappiest rearer (yes this is the latest trick!) The bridleway go's the other way from my yard unfortunatly its also flooded and virtually unpassable. He has improved though and continues to do so. Currently he's in with puss in his foot which he's being quite dramatic about.
Little Shitland has been spending time free range on the yard to keep pony company. This has resulted in bales of shavings being opened and literally scattered all over the hay shed, yard and feed shed (not quite sure how he managed this but he may as well just eat my bank account card really and be done with it)
We saved what little we could and cleared up the rest of his destructive day- Turfed him out into the field and got my big horse in to be the companion instead.
He's very good at it and quite happy to do it as long as he has a good pile of hay close at hand- No problems there *touch wood*
Crazy TB went over to work with me as there are others in anyway to keep him company and the fact its a huge indoor barn means less flies and i was able to remove the bandages and dressings protecting his knee as they were badly rubbing. To my amazement he's been perfect as in one of the quietest easiest horses on the yard!
He's on the walker once a day but other than this stands beautifully and never makes a sound.- He's even been offered a full time home there for free! (they've not seen his true colours yet!) But " he's no problem he might as well just live here" is never a phrase i thought id hear about him!
My vet bill came and was less than half what i was expecting I'd been unable to sleep id worried so much over this- I think they got it wrong but am not going to point that out! He trotted up sound today for the first time and there is very definate pink new skin around the edges of his wound.
All in all a good update and a better end to a slightly crappy month so far!
