Thought you might all find this funny and I'm wondering how common it is......

this morning, our snow spotted Bengal cat, Elmo, was worrying at me to be out, but unfortunately he is confined to the house at the mo' as he has a swollen elbow. Anyway, I told him to stop disturbing my work and go and use his litter (like he understands

)

He stalked off in a huff out of the room, then about a minute later, I heard the sound of running water. I jumped up about to give him hell for peeing somewhere he shouldn't, then saw him in the bathroom, sitting on the loo and peeing into the bowl!! Just like the cat Mr Jinks in 'Meet the Parents'.....!!

I tried to get a photo (how embarrassing for him!) but didn't get there in time, instead got ones of him trying to 'cover' the water in the toilet. Will just have to teach him to flush now!

Does anyone else's cat do this? I'm very proud

I have one who will also use the toilet but only if it is too cold and wet outside and she doesn't want to go out. I have 5 cats altogether but she is the only one out of all of them who chooses to do this.Mind you the others are far more active cats who prefer to be in and out through the cat flap all day as they choose.Millie is the lazy rather overweight one lol.She is also the only one who talks to people.I love hearing her saying hello. She has different types of miaow for different things but when someone comes into the house she always greets them with her hello.

That's brilliant I wish I could train my dog to do that to save getting up in the middle of the night with her! (she doesn't have the strongest bladder bless her!)
The dog we had when I was growing up eventually got pretty old (17 when he died) and a bit senile. He knew he was supposed to go out to wee but couldn't quite decide what "out" was. He would stick his head out of the dog flap, cock his leg and wee on the kitchen floor!
