My terrier went to the vet today as he didn't seam him self and was panting alot (it not that warm here).

Vet says he could have flid on/around his heart. She gave him an injection of Dimazon sol and tablets (Corvental). He is going back to the vet tomorrow

He is now asleep and looking a bit wobbley. I have googled the drugs he has had and cant find too much info.

Does anyone know anything about these drugs or how we can help him?

We love him very much and will do anything for him. He is 16 years old and he hates going to the vet, it stresses him out even more.

dimazon is frusemide - it's a diuretic and will help shift any excess fluid. Corvental helps to widen the bronchioles and make breathing easier.

Think he is feeling a bit sorry for him self atm.

It seams to make things worse 'cos he is older. He takes longer to bounce back than he used to!

I used to take my dog to the vet weekly when he got old to ask "is it the time yet", it is so heartbraking and stressful to have an old dog. Thankfully, the last time we too chester to the vet he said, no he is fine, and gave him a steroid jab and sent him home. He then died in my arms 2 hours later :-(
the vet was gobsmacked and just said "he chose his time".

Give him lots of hugs and hopefully he will be ok
