Well thank you to all of you who gave me your thoughts on why Hatts wasnt quite herself at borde hill last weekend. Had bloods done on monday and results came back today, vet said she was giving classic low grade virus symptoms - ie. lack lustre, running out of energy, not wanting to go XC etc. and the bloods came back confirming that she had a low white blood cell count which indicates that she has/is recovering from a virus

.

So madam is having 2weeks off, continuing her on the nutonic on the advice of our vet and also giving her 10ml of Interferon daily for 10days to boost her immune system. Then a second set of bloods in two weeks time will hopefully give her the all clear

So she's cancelled out of Tweseldown PNP and everything we were hoping to do in half term

Although on the big positive side though we have a valid reason for why she wasnt performing in her usual manner at the weekend, and can treat her accordingly until she's better

Poor Hattie, she gets all the bad luck doesn't she!

Poor girl, but thank goodness it was that rather than a lameness/niggling injury thing again. Annoying, but the best scenario possible!! She will be back on form in another month or so!

Poor Hattie. Pippy had a virus earlier in the year too, I dont know if they are about more now or people are more sensitive to their horses as they seem to be prevelant. I'm sure she will get well soon and in sending my vibes.

Oh no....how awful. Poor you and Hattie : (

Glad that you've had the bloods done though and know the reason why she stopped at BH, as that's not like her at all

we're all relieved we know whats wrong and its not physical, having back lady out in a week or so though as she was due to have it done anyway so if she's tweaked something as well we can iron that out too
