Blimey it was a long journey - and rained the whole way there. Though thankfully it stopped once I arrived and held off when we were riding.
She's a lovely mare
Really pretty and sweet. Held all feet up to be picked out, good to tack up but a little stroppy when the girth was being done up. Stood to mount and waited until asked to walk on. The owner rode her first and then I got on. She was completely different to anything I'd ridden before. I'm used to my ID X and this horse's paces were so bouncy it was hard for me to find my balance at first. I did walk/trot/canter on both reins and several circles. She's very balanced and goes off your leg straight away when asking for canter. Also did a bit of shoulder-in and half pass which I've never done it before so it wasn't great! The owner's daughter then got on and jumped her, and she pinged over them.
TBH she did tick all my boxes, the only thing is the price which is a little high but she is very well schooled and really lovely to ride. Owner said she'd take £4800 with no tack. I'm definitely getting a 5* done, which I'd need for insurance anyway.
I'm going to see another KWPN on Saturday (he's a bit cheaper!) so depending on how that goes, I think this mare is the one. I think she will teach me a lot and I will be able to have fun on her.
I have a video of me riding her but please bare in mind I was nervous at riding a new horse and a bit unbalanced so I'm rising a bit too high. She's also not in an outline, which I'm not bothered about at this stage. She hasn't been ridden very often lately because of lack of time so she needs more muscle and topline.
While I'm waiting for video to upload here's some video stills for those of you who may not be able to see the video.
Feedback welcome as long as it is constructive - I've had a long day and knackered!!!
