Today we opened the door for Kelly to wander out (as vet advised - she's been on Pergolide for two weeks now) and she wandered straight out - and headed to the muckheap
Still a bit wobbly but SO much improved!!
She had a right wander to the muckheap, noseying in people's tack barns and feed bins (had to watch her for that!) Then she wandered to the back of the field had a look there, even had a spook at the bin wagons
(bear in mind, she has been stuck in her stable and barely walking for a good few months now so in a way this IS good news!)
Her coat looks so much better, seems to be lighter and shorter if that makes sense, very shiny again and she isn't moulting as much. She was finding her feet very itchy (we're keeping on top of worming, lice powder so I think its just the sheer length of her feathers, very curly) so we took the scissors to her feathers and cut all her feathers off and boy, did she sulk!
I'm so happy she seems to be improving (fingers crossed) and just hope she continues to do so.
