My weight/horse size

Hi there I’m looking to buy a horse after a few years off! I’m now a bit heavier at 12 stone and 5’7” and wondering whether a 16hh Irish sports horse would be big enough for me? I used to ride 16.1-16.3 horses. Any opinions? What do you ride?

Without seeing I wouldn't want to say since height alone isn't much to go by and ISHs can vary a lot in type. That said 12 stone isn't particularly heavy, I would expect most decently put together horses to be able to cope with that if there wasn't an underlying problem.

16hh is the top height a horse is mechanically supposed to be so if well made with good conformation then it should be perfect
