My Welli has been stung by a wasp

My poor 12 week old whippet Welli has been stung by a wasp

!!! she obviously tried to eat one when I was out exercising the big dogs... her muzzle is all swollen!!

Just waiting for the vet to get to the practise, and then will pop her up for some ani-inflamitories (sp) and anit histamine etc...
the stinger is still in her, should I take it out, or should I let the vet do it??? I dont want to cause any more damage!!!

If you can get at it easily I would take the sting out, but if her muzzle is swollen round it might be better to leave it to the vet (you've probably left by the vet now anyway thinking about it). Poor girl, hope she soon recovers.
