My winter with box rest Dottie, Bug & Belle in photos!

Awwwww, good ponies. Even if you do persist in dressing them funny. ;)

And I don't know about "lucky" - you work very hard and have made a lot of well thought out choices. **** can happen no matter how careful you are but baby Magics don't happen by accident. ;)

I love Dottie - she is the perfectly marked appy in my opnion. What a sweetheart to cope with box rest and then go out like she does it all the time.
Bug is seriously cool - hope he is back to best soon.
Belle sounds like she is taking 'work' all in her stride - keep us updated with her

Love seeing all the matchy too, I seriously considered the blackberry eskadron set but I sat on my hands too long - now seeing it in action I want it more!

Always puts a smile on my face to see your threads as I know there will be loads of photos. :)

As I was scrolling down, I thought Dottie looked good. There are a lot worse things for her than doing lots, and lots, and lots of walking. Love all the matchy matchy. :) I haven't been to East Soley since they've changed the outdoor around, but it's my closest competition venue, so we will be back there shortly - maybe we will see you there. Hope she continues to build up to normal work over the coming months. :)

Poor Bug - hope he's better soon. Love the glove antlers! :o

Belle's lovely - going really well for her age, and such a pretty girl. :)

Thanks for the update - really enjoyed it. :)

I love all 3, so different but all gorge! Dotty looks fantastic despite her box rest, I think the pink bandages really suit her. Lucky you having girl ponies to dress up, how I can I put pink on J! Not only is he boy but orange to boot :p.
Bugs looking handsome, what are the plans for him! X

His wasn't too bad, had adequan injections and rest and that was it, there was never any heat or swelling. It was his third injury on as many legs in as many years so I've taken his shoes off and trying to rehab him barefoot, hacking out in boots in front ATM. He's very hackney like with the boots on, and is unlevel if I ask him to go faster as he lifts one front knee higher than the other, need to hire a school so I can work with no boots to see how he is and be able to push him forwards.

Well fingers and toes crossed for him. Dot is barefoot, she only wears boots/bandages when she does a bit more.

How lucky are you having 3 lovely horses :smile3:

Well done to Dottie on her 'sick note rosette' :biggrin3:

LOL at sick note rosette! I should write that on the back of it!!

What a lovely post, you have some great horses. I completely sympathise with the box rest, mine did his suspensory and just as we started to trot he got cast and fractured his pedal bone so started the box rest all over again! Belle is really nice, looks lie she'll go a long way :)

Oh goodness, that's awful, poor you. Belle fractured her pedal bone when she slipped on concrete when she was 6 weeks old. I don't know how I would cope if that happened to Dot now <frantically touches wood>

Thanks, that's really nice of you to say. Baby Magics rule :)

When I see other spotties I always think her spots are the best, but then I think its because Im bias!! She isn't an appy though, shes a knabstrupper!! Bug is cool, hes a real sweetheart to hang about with!

I do love a photo lol. I hadn't been to Soley for a while, its nice and was perfect because it was quiet. Im not sure if its a new surface on the outdoor? It seemed a bit deeper than before so maybe. I don't know that I can handle the effort of washing my mostly white pony until I can canter again, so maybe Ill see you when I can get to 3rd gear!!

She can wear all the colours!! J could wear pink, hes metrosexual!!

Bugs plans are loose, in an ideal world his sore muscle will get sorted, he can come back into proper work and then he can get back out to dressage and do some eventing. Its hard with him because I don't know that Ill have time to ride 3 a day long term :(
