I was away last night so I'd asked my YO to turn my two out this morning. I'd asked her to put a rainsheet on Jim unless the weather was really good (fat chance!) & on LU if it was horrid. Bless her I got up there tonight & not only had they got sheets on but she'd found a neck cover of her's that was big enough to fit Jim becausw it was really heavy rain this morning & she knows he hates the wet - really good of her when she doesn't even really approve of me rugging them this time of year & thinks Jim is mollycoddled!

I know some people have terrible YO's, I have in the past, but there are some really nice ones out there too

i watched shrek last night!! was brilliant!!!!!.............my YO is brill as well they like to check on the horses at different times and will let you know if any probs!!

Ive my horses at a yard where the guy has one horse for his daughter. He classes the stables etc as my own.

He collects me in the morning when my hubby is working, if im late for some reason, he goes and puts haylage in with my lot. Keeps an eye on the water level in the fields. When mia was foaling he let us stay at the house so we could be there when she foaled.

His daughter is training my horse gypsy and we get on so well, enjoy hacks out together on good days. My confidence with my horses are soaring now, i did the biggest sin the other day. I hacked out alone!!!

After my last yard, i thought there was no nice people on this earth. Thought horse owners were nothing but nasty vinditive people!!

My YO is lovely too. I asked her something about hay the other day and it turns out she is feeding my boy three different kinds of top-quality hay - to tempt him to eat more. She says he seems more inclined to eat if she offers him a different sort at each feed-time, rather than always the same...

And all her staff are the same - always cheerful and helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble. They treat my boy as though he were their own most precious horse and are always fretting and fussing over him.

Another example: I ordered a posh leather headcollar and when it arrived two of the grooms pounced on it and started closely examining every millimetre of the thing. One of them found a tiny slightly rough bit on the inside where the nameplate was attached and said "oooh - we'll have to file that down before Tobago can wear it - he's so thin-skinned, it might scratch him..."

I am so lucky!
