She is ID/TB by Rebelara. Has anyone got any idea of what her adult height is likely to be or know a scientific method that gives an accurate calculation please.
Or even estimates from those of you who have bought youngster and kept them to maturity.

Oooh I'll be keeping an eye on this, as our nine month old is 14.1hh and we expect him to make 16.1hh but my instructor has said she thinks he'll be bigger (I hope not!). Sorry though not much help!

Two ways!

Either take a piece of string, hold it against fetlock and stretch up to the point of elbow; keep your finger on that new position, let go of end by fetlock and twizzle it up 180 degrees so it's above the withers so now you're holding at the elbow and above the withers. No matter how high that looks above them, horse will end up there give or take an inch or two either side. I always use this way and it's never been wrong however unlikely it looks!
Another way is from centre knee down to coronet band and measure. If it's 15 inches then horse will be 15 hands. Each quarter inch responds to an inch of height. So 16 1/2 inches = 16.2hh.

My two year old was 15.1 on his first birthday, he's coming up to his second birthday and is 16.2. I reckon he's going to make a good 17.2.

Hope this gives you a fair idea, mind you all horses are different!
