Last night hubby and I went to Myerscoughs stallion parade, did anyone else go?
I know TayloredEquestion was there with their boy.
It was a really good turnout, there were not enough seats and many had to stand in the doorways. It was freezing but it was -1 at 4pm yesterday so any horsey place would have been cold.
The commentary was great, crystal clear and very informative.
The stallion broucher, mostly fab each horse had an A4 page but some stallion owners had missed out key info such as contact details . Stud fee . Height ..but I guess thats down to the stallions owner. Some of the photos didnt do the horse any justice at all.
The running order was non existent which made finding the info on them quite a chore and sadly, quite a few of the stallions were not there, mainly the ones I wanted to see also!
There were some dual-purpose stallions there who only were presented on the flat, yes there was photos of the jumping however I would have liked to have seen them pop a fence infront of us.
But, there was a great mixture of jumping, dressage, show pony, coloured stallions all under one roof.
Im now also seriously considering 2 for my KWPN mare who I had not considered before, I have also been able to cross a couple off my short list.
So all in all, it was a good night out
