Turned her out and she had a real tickle in her toes today - bucking, leaping. I grabbed my phone to try and film her, and accidentally pressed play on Spotify. Blowin' In the Wind started blaring out. She stopped dead, looked at me, came straight over and nudged the phone with her nose. Made me wonder whether horses like music? Or whether she just has good taste!

That song has a marked march beat. It suited the nuclear disarmament marches in 1962.
The Western songs I used to sing when grooming have a regular trot beat too. And going further back, the Battle Hymn of the Republic. Possibly Joan Baez and Dylan together. OH has about 10 CDs of Dylan which we used to play in the car before out driving days were over.

She is beautiful yes I believe some horses react to music, I watched a YouTube vid recently of a lady training her horses in hand and she sings to them! Once she starts singing they become very engaged!

My cows like radio 2 but not impressed at all by classical music.

When I did the Arab shows with Arabi many were indoors and they would play classical music for the ridden classes, he would often look at the speakers as we rode around and shake his head out of excitement it used to make me laugh.

One of ours always pricks his ears and is interested when he hears music, but the other one, a TB, literally puts some funk in his walk, like swaggering his shoulders in time with it! It's hilarious!
