Myler comfort snaffle or neue schule starter bit.

Has anyone used either of these, I have done some research into them and found the myler website very helpful.

What do you think of these bits, what did you use it for and did it work? thanks

Hate the myler comfort snaffle with the eggbut!! They can make them quite wooden in my experience, and can also encourage the horse to lean as they move with the horse. Loose ring may be different, I'm not sure

NS bits work really well IMHO. I used a verbidend on Goddy, and he loved it. It gave him alot more tongue space and he stayed light and soft in it. Really rate it

So what is the difference between the verbidend and the starter bit from NS as the starter looks to give more tongue room, wookie should like this as he has a big tongue and fleshy mouth poor bugger, I was just interested as I have both coming on loan from bitworld, also the low port comfort snaffle from myler!!

The low port snaffle isnt dr legal is it?!! The verbidend comes in a slightly thinner mouthpiece option I believe, and the bars are almost slightly curved in... so not as much of a comfy mouthpiece as the starter I believe. Goddy had a tiny mouth and a big tongue!!

I'm not against all mylers, mare goes in one of their french links at the mo, and I like the mullen ones, but not the comfort snaffle

personally prefer the NS starter bit to the Myler too, also tried the verbibend, but went back to the starter as horse seemed to prefer this one. Again my horse has a small mouth but a large tongue and big fleshy lips (perfect for kisses

Im using the Verbend for Dresage and when I need brakes the universal!!! lol, My mare loves neue schules, I used mylers with my last boy and never really got on with them! the thing I find is it can take a while to see if the bits make a difference.
 
The verbindend has an angled lozenge and as such uses more tongue pressure...you get a more refined response. It is designed for well schooled Horses.The lozenge on the starter isn't angled so the pressure is more uniform.

The Myler restricts full closure. It only closes so far and then becomes solid. Some Horses love this, some don't!! It is better for Horses that are very fussy with their tongues. Mine is very fleshy with a very large tongue and goes best in a Hilary Vernon Ported Dalehead which is unjointed.

Suzy- I will have to see what that bit is, your horse sounds similar to mine bit fleshy tongue and fleshy mouth too.
