Does anyone know the cheapest place to buy a myler bit? I am looking for a 5 ½” comfort snaffle (MB02) with eggbutt cheeks, I’ve had a bit of a look but lots of places seem to be out of stock or v.expensive. I am watching one on ebay at the moment but I suspect it will end up going for more than I can afford :(

Thanks :)

I am struggling too I am after a Myler Fulmer Wide Barrel Comfort Snaffle 5.5" for a horse I have bought, I have been looking for a month now, without any luck :(

I just want to make everyone who is looking for Myler bits aware that my mare needed a size (1/4 inch) smaller than she does in her old lozenge snaffle. She usually takes a 5" and she needed a 4 3/4" Myler.

I did read on here that someone with a large mouthed horse, needed to go 1/2" down in size.

I've answered in Stable Yard...............

If a lot of shops are out of stock or expensive at the moment, it usually means the suppliers are out of stock.

Which in turn means they go for silly money on ebay.

If you can wait, they'll be back in stock at some stage, or try http://www.toklat.com/dyn_prod.php?p=89-29027&k=88111 I don't know what the exchange rate is like, or American ebay might be worth a look :).

i'm just about to put my MB02 (but with full cheeks) on eBay... i can only recommend eBay as i'm not sure where else you'd get 2nd hand bits... unless you're lucky at one of the table top tack sales...?

keep bumping this, someone may have one.
or, buy my full cheek one... ;)

bad news... i looked for AGES in the end i just gave up and spent a few months saving, sometimes there's no alternative but its worth every penny! x
