Hi could you please tell me about your experience of these bits please, good, bad, or just your general opinion.

Thanks

Hmmm, in general very good, both my ponies went well in it but one was regularly trying to rub the side of her face on her leg when standing still. I eventually saw inside her mouth when she yawned and realised that she had very fleshy lips and cheeks, with sores just above the corners of her mouth tucked behind a fold of cheek flesh. Turns out that the edge of the barrel was causing pressure on the inside corner of her mouth when steering. As soon as I changed the bit, the head rubbing stopped.

I sell and advise on mylers, and the MB04 is the most popular mouthpiece I sell by far. Its a good choice for babies, I bit all of mine in the 04. Its also generally a first port of call for any minor tongue evasions. If you want advice on whether the 04 is right for your horse, feel free to pm / email me whats going on with your horse, and I'll be happy to help

I've never heard of this. Your girl obviously dosnt have a lot off room in her mouth and a narrow jaw. So a MB06 would be more suitable, it has the port of the 04, but its in a mullen mouth, so its a smooth bit, with no edges to cause rubs to her bars.

My boy loves his! It's an 05 loose ring (with the sleeves) with 02 mouth.

He takes the bit every time it's offered and is ridden with no noseband or martingale and a light contact - just very happy with it.

I've got Jazzy in an MB02 (dressage legal) hanging cheek snaffle, but have also ridden him in the MB02 loose ring snaffle, MB04 pelham and MB04 long shank combination.

All of the horses that I've put these bits in, they have gone very well. Jazzy now opens his mouth for the bit, and lowers his head for me to put the bridle on, which he didn't do when I first started riding him :)
