Has anyone used any of the expert bits comfy barrel snaffles? I was recommended a Myler due to the low port on the 04 providing tongue relief for a fleshy mouth and big tongue, but the comfy barrels also look good and are cheaper.

Yes we have a comfy barrel hanging cheek snaffle on our pony. He loves it! He is really happy in his mouth with it. I'd definitely recommend them!! They are fab if you are not sure which to try, they have an online consultation form and they get back to you quickly with queries x

I used to use the comfy barrel eggbutt for my fussy mare and it was the only thing she ever settled in! I bought mine when they were a bit cheaper and was going round the houses trying different bits and figured it was worth a shot for the price. I couldn’t have been happier.

I have one from expert bits & bar the irritating squeaking it's great!
I wouldn't buy another with the blue coating though, mines faded & gone very rough quickly, I wouldn't put it in my lads mouth now.

I use a comfy barrel eggbutt as well and mare seems very happy in it. I was using Shires bits before which are cheap, the EB isn't THAT much more expensive and the built quality is much nicer.

I was the same! Tried multiple expensive ones from the bit bank but he was happiest in the comfy barrel!

I have a comfy barrel hanging cheek for my older gelding - really the first bit ever that he fully accepted and settled in. He does happen to have a fleshy tongue and a low palate.
