This is the bit I use for all disciplines except XC and hunting. We've had trouble with bitting in the past because she doesn't like tongue pressure and won't tollerate joints but I found it in a bag of bits my friend bought in one day and it has proved to be our wonder bit

No more locking her jaw on one side and she will work into a contact much more consistently.

Anyone ever seen one of these before or know what it is called? The joints are very unusual and I've not seen anything like it anywhere although i've looked. I live in permanent fear of losing it

. I can't see why it WOULDNT be dressage legal but does anyone know for sure? Any information appriciated.

close... but look at the joint between the port section and the side bars... never seen anything like this before... joint sits totally flat on horse's tongue and the movement of the side bars is then completely independant of the ported section further limiting any tongue pressure. I would think???

Not wanting to hijack your post, but does anyone know where I can get a half-moon snaffle with eggbutt cheeks in 5.5"? Can only find up to 5" or loose rings and am at my wit's end!
