My 15 year old Welsh Section D has been lame on and off all summer. She came in from the field lame on her left fore a few months back and as it was the day after she had been shod I got the farrier straight out to look at her. He could find nothing wrong and after resting her for a few days she seemed sound again. Then 2 weeks or so later she went lame again, same leg, again a couple of days and she appeared sound. This has happened on and off all through this summer. There is no heat, no swelling, there were no cuts. Slightly lame mid week but seemed to ride through it and again seemed sound so we took her to show at weekend. Decided to just do one round of jumps as not sure how she would be, although not obviously lame she didnt look comfortable, kept swishing her tail and tripped a few times, she is normally very sure footed. Has anyone else had a problem similar to this?
