Naf General Purpose Supplement

Sorry but I don't rate NAFF products at all I think it's all a waste of money. Horses only need good grass, hay/haylage and a mix or nuts and they have all the vitamins they need.

A good friend of mine has used NAFF for quite a few years and she concedes that it's all a waste of money and apparently her vet told her pretty much that!!!

No horse need natural grassing which would be highly varied where the could pick what they wanted and when. Keeping a horse in a field full of grass and maybe the odd weed will not fullfil their dietary needs. Feeding them long cut, dired grass in the evening will not fullfill their dietary needs and giving them a mix with some maize, dried veg with maybe barley or oats won't either. Yes they will survive on it, just like we could survive on just one or 2 food in our diet but a supplement will provide everything they are missing from being kept in the unnatural environment we keep them.

My vet told me to always feed a suppliment even in summer, he used to be the head lecturer at the royal vetenary college in edinbrugh.

It is basically the GP supp with a little extra. The little extra is the same sort of stuff they put in pink powder (but clearly no as potent) to encourage proper digestion and a joint supplement. It wouldn't replace a joint supp or pink powder on it's own but I feel it give that little extra. She definitely holds weight better when on it!
