Hi

I was thinking about swapping all my horses vitamins, bitoin, brewers yeast etc for a feed balancer like topspec or D&H ultmate balancer, but am now wondering if pink powder may be more suitable - since he now gets no hard feed at all now (he is off work), just gets hi-fi lite and supplements... (trying to keep him chilled, but healthy!!!)

Any thoughts? He's not a particularly good doer since he can be rather stressy (specially now he is not working!!), but seems to be maintaining his weight on the feed he gets now plus good grazing, and ad lib hay.... he could do with being a bit fatter though ... but I dont want him to have any more energy cos he is meant to be resting!!!

Ive still got a fair bit of equivite vits to get through (I bought a giant tub) before I change anything anyway... plenty of time to do my research!!!

Pink power is fantastic! I've used it a few times on horses that were quite poor & it really did make a big difference

Pink powder is not a balancer, a balancer is Topspec, bluechip etc
I would personally reccommend topspec it will last you ages and has all that a horse needs

three thumbs up!!!!lol.Extremely cheap, and though not a traditional feed balancer loads of people use it as one with great results

It is a balancer; it says so on the tub!

Yeah, it is definitely a balancer as well as a multivit with added bio whatevers haha!! It has worked wonders for my horse but I can't help but feel that because it's so much cheaper than the others, it can't be as good!!
What I've decided is that it works so well, i'm just going to forget about top-spec and blue chip and trust the powers of pink powder haha!!

it is a balancer! its excellent stuff. with the other pelleted balancers you are also buying filler, with PP you are not.

Actually Mary is right, technically it is not a balancer because a traditional balancer should also contain protein which Pink Powder does not, although they do market it as a balancer, what it is really is a vit/min supplement together with a probiotic - oh and yes - fillers.

Sorry Nuffield - you are probably buying just as much, if not more filler with a powdered supplement.
