I'm considering giving this to one of my boys cos his feet are progressively getting worst. Anybody out there have any views or images of a before and after. If you want pm feel free
sorry placed in here cos really want to heard from folk competeting-ta

I would be interested in this as have just started giving this to my horse (who has shocking feet despite my farrier's best efforts!)

I can take a before now (well a week into the treatment) and possibly give you an after in about a month?

you will be looking at about 9 to 12 months of feeting any hoof suppliement before you see any great improve ments..

From the pictures i've seen on the advertisement, both of the before pictures are of horses hoofs which have been left too long between shoeing.

In the after pictures all i see is a horse that has recently been shot.. Not a great advertisement for the product if you ask me and personally i think you would be as well feeding farriers formula!

yeah i know you have to wait to see results. That's why i'm interested to hear of any folk on here that have seen a improvement in hoof quaility.

As i've used FF before not on this horse and the horse's feet where so poor, and I really really didn't see any improvement for that horse, so really has put me off feed expensive supplements..................................... for no gain

so would like to see really horse feet of horse i could know???

to be honest, if you sore no sort of quality improvement with Farriers formula then the horses is lacking something somewhere else.

Farriers formula contains the fundimental require nutrients for good horn growth.

How long do you go between visits from your farrier?

Every five weeks and i have a very good farrier (won prizes etc) and if we have any issues is there on the dot, to sort him out and is always there to answer my daft questions.

I totally understand where you coming from BUT i have seen improvement in friends horse (TB with crappest feet out) BUT want to hear from comp folk

And as i say i was unimpressed with FF with previous horse so looking at what 's else is on market?

I have to say I have been using it for 2 weeks now and I have seen an improvement.
However I have also been using the Pro Feet (Hard Feet) Which is an oil you put onto the feet, the lady on the Naf stanf said I would see an improvement within 1 week.
I have to say I have

Personally.. and from experience i do not know how you can POSSIBLY see any improvement from nutrition to the feet in that short a time period.

Kick on i am only giveing you a professional oppionion. Simple as. And you farrier may have won awards and such and be a very good farrier, i did not question his skill.

horn growth takes months to improve and grow down through the hoof.

In two weeks the nutriets would only just be getting into the system..

Pro-feet.. i dont rate it.

I can see an improvement from his feet as they were really soft, with this Hard feet I have been using for 2 weeks it has made his foot harder than what it was.

This is from putting the oil on the nail holes and inside the foot.

I am not saying you can see an improvement from the Pro Feet I am putting into his feed, but you can see an improvement from the oil I am using on the foot.

I rate it

My horse has terrible feet at this time of year they go very soft and my farrier has problems getting nails in.

I spoke this lady on the NAF stand at Blenhiem Horse Trials in which she told me about both products.

You will only see a massive improvement if you use both.

Nailed - i'm grateful for your opinion that's what i want to read esp from professional. And i know you didn't question skill of my farrier, as that would be plain daft

But isn't Pro Feet is endorsed by Top WMF?

I have been using pro-feet for approximately 12 months and I have definitely seen an improvement in my boys feet. He always had bad feet, constantly losing shoes plus hoof wall. His feet are now really good and my farrier has commented. Plus he has not lost a shoe since using it (toouch wood!!). He also suggested I use Kevin Bacon hoof dressings too. Unfortunately I did not take any before and after pictures. Although he has also suggested that Seaweed can also be beneficial. I am now thinking of trying Firm Foot by Dodson Horrell.

That means youve been using it for a week then C

? it was only last weekend honey.

Glad youre finding the hard hoof stuff is working. I really like the hoof rub - its really made winstons feet look good.

You wont see a difference in new growth to the hoof for a while tho.

I didnt rate the NAF Pro Feet liquid when I bought it, but the Equine America Hoof Power Plus really worked for my lad.
Saying this, it just depends on what your horse is lacking in his diet which will determine what works best.

Having horses with shite feet is the bane of my life

I have heard people say that got no result with Pro-Feet so switched to Farrier's Formula and have also heard from friends who have used Farrier's Formula with no result so switched to Pro-Feet and have seen a marked improvement.

My farrier does his best with his feet and regularly shoes my horse every 5 weeks (and it has been complimented on by two different vets) and he has improved my horses's feet greatly but he can't improve the quality of the hoof. Like you I didn't want to spend vasts amounts for no gain so thought I would try Pro-Feet first

HAvent used Pro Feet, but NAF biotin works well too. TBH the thing that improved my horses feet the best was a feed balancer and Alfa. Topspec was spot on

Hello! I feed it to my girl. She had shocking feet, couldn't keep shoes on, badly cracked and brittle and my farrier at the time was supposedly a v. good one! Didn't want to try FF as i'd heard reports that it can make some horses a bit lively!
I visited the NAF stand at Blenheim 2 years ago (shortly after ProFeet was launched) and bought some from them they warned me that I wouldn't see any real results for up to 12 months but after loosing soo much money on vets fees, BE entry fees due to lost shoes and punctured soles from aforementioned shoes, was willing to give it a go.
Its been fantastic to be honest, She's not lost a shoe in probably 18 months and her feet look great, no flakyness, cracks, ridges, chunks out here and there (am desperately holding onto all the wood around me!) But I do think that ProFeet is one of the main contributors to the turn around in the quality of her typically rubbish TB feet!! (that and a super new blacksmith who is my knight in shining transit!)

(p.s - I don't work for NAF by the way!!)
