Hey guys like thd title, farrier wants lami on a hoof supplement as his hooves are abit crumbly. Ive used Naf before on the tb but vet suggested Farriers Formula works well but she doesnt mind if we use the Naf..........so im asking for your opinions please on these two.

Double chocolate cake and cream for answering :D

I've found Farriers formula has always worked amazingly well. All farriers i've used have recommended it above anything else. I've only used the naf pro hoof once as the owner insisted on all things naf, it didn't seem to have much of an effect, although it could have just been that one horse.:)

Neither - too many fillers and binders rather than active ingredients. Pro Hoof on ebay is made by 2 of the uks UKHNCP trimmers and far better value for money ;)

Neither of my 2 would touch Farriers Formula even when heavily disguised in their feed and I've heard this a lot from other people.

My eat anything cob didn't touch her hard feed for 3 days when it was in there - I was determined to persevere considering the amount I spent on it and she was determined to starve herself rather than eat it!

If you decide to give it a try it may be worth getting hold of a sample first.

I haven't tried pro hoof but my horse was on fformula 4 feet and it worked for her. Her feet crumbled and we were struggling to put shoes on.

This is all she has been fed through winter and after 4 months we started to see an improvement. Her feet are the best they've been in 4 years, no crumbling or cracks and I'm keeping her on it.

I've debated moving to Pro Hoof, but why change when its working well for her?

Ive used Pro Hoof before and it worked on the tbs crapy feet it was only because the vet said about the other on that i asked but i think i will have a look at the other suggestions too.
