naff citronella tags ...

Are these any good?
With all the rain the flys have been kept at bay, but we've had two dry and muggy days and the flys are biting my boy to pieces!

I'd seen ads for these and thought they looked like a good idea, saw some hanging up in the tack shop today, thought ooh!! I'll get some... til I saw the price tag

The BEST thing to spend your money on is the spot-on preparation that is used for cows. Ask your vet.

You only need to drop the solution with a syringe/drenching syringe once a week. £30 lasts you all summer.

This is also tried... tested.... triumphant!!!

You can buy citronella in a bottle incredibly cheap from ebay, plait some material into your horse's mane, and drop some on it when needed....

I got the Woof version, which comes with a refil, and then you can just buy the oil when that runs out so better value for money. Ebony will not put up with any thing on her face so this to me is a god send. It does seem to do the job, when we have had the little sods about, but not been used in real heat with loads of flies as yet, but so far so good

Got them....
No flies to try it with yet. might just use it on the bridle though and continue with fly spray.
They are supposed to last 4-6 weeks.
