Nail Shu Shoes ie plastic NAIL on shoes

Anyone had experience of these shoes? I have a horse that has thrown a splint behind, settled and active again due to concussion on ground - she currently is wearing no shoes behind. These are made by Mustad and are designed for high shock absorbtion. Anyone tried these or anything similar? The shoes have an aluminium core surrounded by poyurethane.

I haven't heard of these ones, but about 20 years ago a Danish company started making something similar. We had a mare with recurrent laminitis, and to try to reduce concussion she used these shoes for a while. The big problem with them was that they were totally non- slip, which sounds Ok but allowed no movement of the foot on the surface whatsoever, so it caused stress further up the leg. We had to stop using them. It would be interesting if the Mustad ones have overcome this problem, because apart from that they were brilliant, if rather expensive!
