Our TB polo ponies- yes TBs! our out, no rugs and have been so all winter. in leicstershire, although now back down in glos. they are fine, fed and happy. not a huge amount of grass and no shelter.... but they like it that way.
and people think TBs would freeze
I think people do try and wrap their horses up a bit much- i am a culprit of this with my own horse, but he is fully clipped but our TBs are absolutely fine with being left out with no rugs, as long as they have feed and hay!
