Naked XC? Reggie the Racehorse thinks so!

[Lolo]

On Sunday, Reggie went XC in just a plain bridle. He had a happy mouth snaffle (with a lozenge), a loose cavesson noseband, a neck strap and a breast girth (as a back up neck strap and safety precaution!).

I am so proud of how far he's come with Al now and now his tack is as plain as can be. He stormed round a decent 1m XC course and was polite and mannerly throughout This was his third year at this event and each year he's been shedding a 'gadget' as his schooling has improved... We'd better be careful or next year they may well be going bareback

He's a star and I'm dead proud of them

Ignore his "OMG water!" moment- he's usually a total pro and has to be persuaded out so Al was a little chilled on the approach.

He loves XC, he's always happy when he's going round! They're a really sweet team to watch- he adores Al and Al adores him and they bumble along together very happily

Nahh, she's too traditionalist- I think the idea of not wearing a stock is a little too risqué for her, let alone naked

Sophie was, I wasnt, I am 32 wks pegnant now and cant be too far from a loo and not sure if I would be quick or nimble enough for a crafty pee in the bushes!

Sophie complained her jump was too easy, one refusal all day! She is determined she will ride a ODE or HT at BM one day, in all the years she has been a carousel member something has always stopped her.

If she's helping at mum's ODE, we take requests about fence difficulty so she'll get a good one

I really hope we get to see her competing at the ODE there this year then, and winning in fine style
