I think it's because the person the OP is referring to (rache) has just started a new thread asking for help as she can't afford her horse, and hinting that it is all because she needs a new saddle. I reckon this has been resurrected to warn people off helping her out. ;)
 
I had only just started to become a browser on this forum when this thread first started, but iv'e read it with great shock!!

How horrible, especially now she has posted again.

We've learnt the lesson not to lend her anything!!!! :mad:
 
The cheek of some people! So is this Rache person still a member of the forum? If so she should be ashamed, ignoring PMs then having the cheek to continue posting, disgusting :mad:
 
She probably thinks that after two years everybody will have forgotten and she can come back and scam somebody else. Silly girl.

She has possibly seen this then

Her most recent post on new lounge 1st page now was created at 2:55pm, this post was resurfaced at 3:16pm and like you said she was last online at 4:30. I'd say she has possibly seen this then!

And now just looked at her post. Its all been uncovered on her post now!!

When I saw Rache posting and I resurrected this thread I emailed BigRed, who hasn't posted for a while, to let her know that Rache was back and in need. Hopefully Rache will have also emailed BigRed.

Of course this may all have been resolved years ago, in which case hopefully BigRed will update us.
 
I can't believe that anyone would really post in the hope that some kind soul would give her a saddle. I've clearly led a very sheltered life

although i appreciate if this hasnt been resolved it certainly doesn't look good on the OP lets be clear before everyone starts with the pitch forks, this OP didn't actually ask for a saddle though or the money for one and i dont see it can be 'read this way'

Ofcourse it could invite some kind person to offer one and i guess that might have been the point but it was not actually requested.

no it didnt.

im not defending rach, borrowing stuff and not returning it is appalling behavior but this is how witch hunts start before all the facts are known and id urge caution before people go around making up their own interpretations of people's posts.

as i said previously, the post possibly invites kind people to suggest they may offer a saddle, no where do i see such a request or even a hint of one to actually ask people to do so. Possibly very clever? i dont know, im only guessing, as we all are.
 
When I replied to this posting asking for help/advice, I did so believing the OP was genuinely seeking advice. I now feel rather stupid to have wasted my time and effort in replying. I find it very sad that posts appear to be from people who do need help or support at a difficult time, only to discover they are Trolls or the type of person I would never ever normally associate with. In life, I've come across people who are not what they seem, and once the lesson has been learned, it is easy to move on. Trying to decide on a forum who is genuine and who has a secret agenda is far more difficult. It must be an absolute nightmare being a parent of young children these days...
 
I remembered reading this thread a while back and I was just wondering if anyone knew if it had been resolved or not?
My inner curtain twitcher was bugging me :D
