Name change?

Since finding out my mares past i have found out her original name which she has had since birth up to april when she was sold on this year (shes 4) - i have had her going on for 4 months now and am kinda used to her name that she was given recently. When i called her by her original name she came over - but she is also answering to her *new* name.
So do i change it back to her original name or keep her new one.........?

I know people say it's bad luck to change it, but I don't really believe in that kinda thing
