Name my filly - more help needed please! (Pics)

What about:

Gypsie's Luna Eclipse?

Merlin's gypsie?

Merlin's Obsession?

Im using Merlin as you wanted something mystical..... and she is like merle colour! :)

Merlin's Grace?

Merlin's Blue Gem?

Gypsie's Blue Gemstone? (Gem for stable name)

ok starting to run out of names again!

What is her breeding? Do you know her sire's and dam's names? Something based on them might be good for a show name, perhaps?

Otherwise, just to be different, I would call her Trad Jazz - Trad because she's a Traditional Cob and Jazz because she has jazzy markings and 'attitude'; and the whole name is a type of music, which just seems to suit her.

You could call her Jazzy or just Jazz as a stable name.

After seeing her photos - "Aurora's Little Gem. Or with her colouring - Aurora's Little Blue Gem. Or seeing as she is going to be a star of the future Aurora's Little Blue Star. Hope these give you insperation. Good Luck. let us all know how she does.

Pretty names! But all these names starting with Aurora's (or indeed any other possessive, such as Merlin's, Moonlight's, Gypsy's, etc.) suggest that the filly's dam (or sire) is called 'Aurora' (or Merlin, Moonlight, Gypsy, etc.). A bit confusing, especially for breeders!

For example, my stallion H Tobago has a son and a daughter (in Belgium) whose breeder named them Tobago's Ambassador and Touch of Tobago - any Arab breeder seeing these names would immediately assume (rightly in these cases) that these youngsters were sired by Tobago.

People will make the same assumption here, that a filly called Aurora's Little Gem, for example, is out of a mare called Aurora. If the dam of this filly is indeed called Aurora, then this is fine - otherwise it is misleading.

How about Myst for a stable name? For a show name, don't go for anything too poncey - I hate these daft romantic names on gypsy cobs - they ain't bloody unicorns, they are practical working animals. Says she with one called Stinky - well it stuck!

Whatever is on the passport is the show name for BSPA, hence Stinky is Quite by Chance unless under their shows when he is What a Chance so make sure you get it right if you get her passported with them.

If you want something short but different for a show name, how about Bláthín which means little flower if you want an irish name for her- she is a little petal.
