Name one goal you hope to achieve with your horse in 2008?!

i am very ambitous when it comes to my horses but what would you like to achieve with your horse in 2008?

I would like to have a go at doing a music class with my current horse and also try and find someone to part loan him so that I have more time for another!
 
I would like to be competing at affiliated elementary with Diva and hope to qualify for the Petplan Finals as I just missed out this year as I came 5th!
 
as my girly is only just 4 I want to get her out doing some prelims in a soft and relaxed manner in a quiet environment- and to go and have some other short sessions at the xc course near us- we have been twice and although we mostly "played" in the water complex" I want t get her linking a few fences in a row at a canter.
other than that- i want to enjoy her- be that hacking or whatever.
My most important goal is to keep her happy and continue to make her the horse I dreamed off

My horsey goal for this year was to persuade my hubby that we could afford a horse in the family - achieved!
To go to my first ever show - achieved and rosette to boot!

In 2008 I would like to try a dressage class where I have to canter! And maybe just maybe try a very small clear round course.
 
this year saw me buy horse after wanting one for 10 years(and nearly sell her again after realising id taken on more than i orginally thought!) and then actually compete and survive my first showjumping in 15 years with a couple of clear rounds, next year i hope to compete in a very small ode, if i survive some xc first!!!! think i must have a death wish!
 
For me and Flynn, a 2* is the aim, Titus is novice and a win! and hopefully 1* and intermediate at end of year, Woody is to win 4yo champ!!! (yes, this is a slight dream, as we may not even attempt the qualifier though! lol!)
 
i saw your post of your first outing was fab bet you were over the moon,well done.You wait till next year reckon it wont take long for you to get hooked on competing i know i did in my first year. Its a great buzz when you have a good day gives you a real sense of achievment and boosts your confidence no end.Reckon we are going to have to watch this space everyone there is a champ in the making. Wishing you lots of luck go for it!!!!!

To keep my horse sound and get out and have some fun - hopefully some hunter trials and SJ and maybe even a couple of ODEs if I can face the dressage!
 
I better think of something quick. Someone did one last year for 2007 in Dec 2006 and I put a goal that would be a huge achievement and it happened before the end of 2006!
 
I have a few aims for 2008. One is to affiliate in dressage - I'd like to be doing consistantly well in Novice and perhaps trying the odd Elementary test by the end of the year and doing some of the Spillers Combined Training series.
We are already affiliated show-jumping - I'd like to be doing consistant double clears in the British Novice and starting the odd Discovery class by the end of the year.
