Name & Praise - Quillin Halters

I asked on here a couple of weeks ago for leather halter recommendations. I think that it was Tia, and another kind member who gave me Quillin's website address.

I ordered a halter for Cropi and a dog collar for my doggie, both with name plates on them. They arrived on Saturday and they are fantastic. I am so so pleased with them. The quality is amazing and even better than I hoped for. Here is Cropi in her new halter

They were not that cheap in the end, $140 (shipping was $56) but even with that for £70 I have got a fantastic quality halter and a new collar for my doggie. I have looked in tack shops locally and nothing comes close to the finish of it for anywhere near the price. It took 2 weeks from order to delivery, I orginally only ordered the halter and added the collar a few days later, it was no problem at all. Their customer service is also great.

Did you have trouble with the sizings? What size did you end up going for?

I was a bit confused by their sizings so I brought Cropi's old halter home, measured it and then checked their sizing chart. I went for the small mare in the end and it fits her a treat. I paid the extra for the adjustable chin and throat snap, just in case

I'm glad you are pleased with them.....quality doesn't come cheap but it's nice to have really nice things & in the long run because they wear so well it will work out cheaper.

I really do think that its going to last a long long time. The leather is really nice

Oh they will last. The youngsters who come to board here generally have them and these halters are never taken off in the year or two they live here. These halters weather the wind, rain, snow, seriously cold temperatures and super hot temperatures....and they still look as good as new.

The weird sizings are sometimes the thing that puts people off ordering them. I was confused for some time too

The sizings are confusing. The only way to chose the right size is to measure an old one......as long as that fits of course!! At least you can add the adjustable bits if you want them, and only for a couple of $ too

OK - I have a LW Show Cob, he is a Full size in cheekpieces, browband and Slip head, but needs XFull in noseband as he has a deep jaw.
What size should I order, and what style?
He has an XF Stubben which the headpiece is on the top hole both sides as he doesn't have a big head, but I needed the XF size to accommodate his deep jaw.
