Name suggestions for a black horse...

Ozzy...she is black, arrived on a Sunday (Black Sabbath)...and her mane is not dissimilar to Ozzy Orbournes flowing locks. (To be fair, this might only work if you have a slight obsession with silly music and have a slightly mental baby horse too. I don't know any with that name, honest ;) )
 
I have a black horse called ruby staying with me atm! Last time I checked rubies were red? She gets called ROOOOOBS or boobs, or bubs, anything but her name really, like all my others. They may as well not have names tbh.

Murphy- Moo/moobaby/boy
Daarcy- Dar/D/mareface/mare/bussell
Hula-Hoop/fatty
Rio- Reebees/little man/leeeeddddllleee boy


As far as names go, I do like the cliche one Shadow. Orrrrr Belle or Beau!
 
I knew a show horse once named "The Black with a Blaze" because that was how she was always described. :rolleyes:

Then there is the old standby 'Jet' or 'Black Pearl'

Donkeys years ago we had an old hunter called 'Pearl Grey', she was black, and it was a bit of a mickey take really because we also had others called Tetley and Teabag.

Kali - a hindu goddess of all that is dark, aka The Dark Mother - followers are supposed to have a deep and intimate bond with her.

And, yes, my grey gelding is called Kali - go figure? ;).

The first pony I rode in a lesson was a little black thing.. called Sugar!

Someone mentioned a black horse called Ruby.. I once knew a grey called Ruby!

How about Luna, Lily, Pepper, Daisy, Belle, Roxy, Trixie, Lulu.. etc.
 
How fab to name a horse! I would go for I think:

Bow
Lulu
Darcy
Raven (but prob suit more a gelding/stallion?)
Bliss

and if my two teenage boys were naming the horse it would be "Black Ops"!
