Hi there, I’ve purchased a lovely little grey 4yo ISH mare who needs a registered name. Any Suggestions? Sire is Majority leader (TB) dam is Reddina Dancer.

I’m also considering giving her a “stamp” like a series of letters to indicate where she came from in the future and to give any horse I produce in the future as well. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

With that breeding you have so much choice based on a combination depending on what type of name you want, the obvious options that spring to mind are
Leading Dancer
Dance leader
Principal Dancer
Red Leader
major Dancer
First Dance
Cheer Leader

If you use a series of letters as a suffix you may need to register it, a prefix should only be used by a breeder and unless it is not obviously a prefix it may not be allowed although you can easily have a first part of a name that links them to you but it can be tricky to maintain if you cannot think of something to follow that works for a horse later on and it may also be used by other people as you have no rights to it.

The central prefix register deals with registering a prefix and presumably a suffix.

Be positive thank you so much! These are great names and it really clears up the prefix/suffix confusion. If anyone has any other ideas it would be greatly appreciated. She’s very sweet and goofy and her stable name is Poppy if that springs any ideas. Thanks!

Something with allegro in it?
Allegro is a type of poppy seed, and also a ballet term, so you have the dance bit in too.
Can't think of how to incorporate majority or leader into that though, and allegro perhaps suits a boy better.

Apparently "The name Allegro is a girl's name meaning "brisk, sprightly". ALLEGRA is a delicate ballet-dancer name"
