I have been sorting out the loft today (a terrible, spider filled task!) And have found several sets/ collections of toy horses, all at least 10 years old, some 15-20! I can't remember what 'brand' any of them are though.

So, does anyone remember what they are called? It was nice remembering how much i loved them all :) Found about 5 barbie horses too :D And they were surprisingly unmutilated by a scissor happy 10year old with scissors lol

These all have different moving parts (think they're some of the oldest):

These were something to do with 'colts':

And have this on their bum:

I'm not sure if these are a brand or anything, but i have 3:

And these were my favourites, i have about 30 of them! I got them with a magazine, and i think you could buy them on their own too:

Some foals, a shire, some of the bigger ones and some of the 'natives':

And a Shetland (there's a bay one too) :D

Didn't find any of my old My Little Ponies though :( They're hiding somewhere lol

Does anyone remember any of these?

I recognise the palomino in the second picture. I had one like him. I think it's a cindy doll foal (might be barbie, can't remember?) I might be totally wrong though!

The 'My little ponies' were very cartoon like weren't they? I had those too but can't remember what they looked like. They had long silky manes like the ones in the first pic, but don't recall them looking quite the same.

That's going back a few years!

I'm sure the 3 little ones with one rearing are pony in my pocket, used to have a few.
And the ones you have about 30 of, are My Beautiful Horses. When I was younger I collected about 80 of them! I wasn't allowed a real pony and got a riding lesson once a year so It's not because I was a bit sad :)

I used to have a couple of the top pictures as well but can't remember the name, do they have little diamond things on their bum etc? And one of mine I remember if you moved it's head then it would paw at the ground!

Nice to see that I'm not alone in still having my 'toy' ponies! I have a palamino Pippa pony, various unbranded ones, and what was my pride and joy for many years (and I still couldn't part with now!) my Sindy horse. The Sindy horse arrived on my 6th birthday, which was 1974, and way before I had a Sindy doll! I've only recently discovered I have the original one, named Peanuts, albeit the plastic brown variety not the flocked one. Go onto ebay to have a gloat at old pony toys, or look here www.modelhorsegallery.info - enjoy!

The My Little Ponies had the best manes ever!

I saw a group on facebook for 'fans' and people pay upto and over £100 for some of the rare ones if they are still boxed! All mine were mauled though, they used to come swiming in the bath with me lol :D Wondered if i might still get something for them though, i had some of the very first ones that came out!

So if any of you have first generation My Little Ponies, you should stick them on ebay ;)

I have no idea what they are, sorry, but what a fab collection! Do you have a daughter? Most pony mad girls would LOVE to have a collection like that!

I had a lesson once a week, so i must have just been sad lol!

And yep, the spotty one on the moving ones paws the ground if you turn the wheel on it's neck. I really love those ones, i wish i had more :D

And pony in my pocket rings a bell too, thanks. Think i have some more of them still to come down, that all stand in a little yard :)

I think i might stick some on ebay and see what i can get for them. I love them all (they all had a 'groom' today lol) but i think 10 years in the loft is quite long enough, and now i'm moving out i don't think my OH will be pleased to meet them!

Ha unfortunately I don't think i would get any money for my beautiful horses!!!

When I was younger I got annoyed how some of them all looked the same so got my poster paints out to make some coloured, spotty, blazes and socks etc. I also preferred for them to all have hogged or pulled manes!

"Found this website for the My beautiful horses.

OMG re-living my childhood days!
Number 4 and 26 were my favourites! oh dear....:)

I had a whole cardboard stable yard of Grand Champions complete with haynets, shavings and water buckets in each box.

I too had about thirty of the My Beautiful Horses, and I built them a stable yard complete with arena (fence made from drinking straws) stables, mare and foal boxes, tack room, grooms' accomodation etc. My living room with its green carpet I turned into an XC course. Each stable had its own name sign and a haynet made from string and enerything.

I recognise the ones with moveable parts but I can't for the life of me remember their names, sorry.

PS. A few years back I sold all the first lot on Ebay - they were in pretty good condition and I made A LOT of money of them!!

oh wow i used to have loads of those little ones too from magizine, i dont think it was pony magizine. i recognize the palimino with the paw pring jewel thing on. was that not from those little pet fold up house things and you used to get loads of different animals in different sizes? i used to have lots of barbie horses with matching naked barbies. god knows what happened to the clothes.

oh god this all brings child hood memories. Unfortunatley i was a disturbing child, me and my horsey friend who i still go riding with used to make ours do 'naughty' things. things you shouldnt know when your 7!!

I adore the My Beautiful Horses - used to spend hours playing with them. Couldn't dream of parting with them and I had a fair few - atleast 50. Wouldn't mind having a few more to be honest! Haha sad or what :P

:o

The ones with the brand on their bum are Grand Champions, and the 3 little white ones are Pony in my Pocket.

I used to have LOADS of the magazine ones ... I think there's a mare and foal on my windowledge, actually :o

And I have a shoebox full of old My Little Ponies.

first picture are ponies from ''the littlest pet shop''
second picture and 3rd are grand champion foals
4th picture are ponies in my pocket
remaining pictures are My beautiful horses and I love ponies models :) hths

Wow you are good lol. I have some more to add for those who are enjoying reliving the good times :D

I wish i was still 10. I have loads of jumps for them i bought seperately for 50p at a car boot sale, although all mine were olympic showjumpers, coz these jumps are huuuge lol! I do have some of the jumps for the My Beautiful ponies too, i think i have 2 riders as well. only one bridle set though, i liked my horses to be 'free' and 'wild' lol. I even cut the saddle and bridle off the rocking horse my uncle spent hours lovingly restoring when i was 3 :o

Here's the other little set i think is lovely :D
_1017354.jpg

One of them has a bit of a bent leg though :( Dunno what happened with it. He still stands up though, he's a fighter!

And then these barbie horses:
_1017355.jpg

I think this is my favourite, i forgot how detailed they were, they have muscles and everything :D

This one 'walks' (aka falls over and wiggles her legs about whilst lay on her side) It's not broken, just not a great success lol
_1017357.jpg

And i like this one but one of her legs has been snapped so think i need to bin her really :(
_1017358.jpg

but she's soo pretty, i dunno if i can bring myself to chuck her away!

I used to collect "pony in my pocket" and still have about 25 of them in a bag at my nan's that my daughter loves to play with! I also have 57 original my little ponies from the 80's with all the accessories that are a big hit with the girl.

When she's older she will have the "cassie" doll's I had as a kid. They were smaller than Barbie and came with video case sized boxes that opened out into a stable.

I'm so glad i kept all that stuff now :)

I've still got all my My Beautiful Horses, and I've spent the last year trying to complete my collection lol, I've got about 110 different horses now. I think I've only got one horse left to find but she's proving to be very illusive! (if anyone is looking to sell any then I might be interested :) )

"JULIP" ponies rings a very distant bell here, and I had a sindy horse too. Wish they'd been stored away to be rediscovered, but i think they were played with a bit too much *sigh*. sm x
