Names for Basset Hound Pup please

Hi, have just agreed to have a basset puppy - only 5 weeks old at the moment - so will obviously not come home for another 3 weeks or so. I want to call her Mavis but my husband hates the name - any ideas please? My other two bassets are called Dudley and Freddie and the lab is Barley.

I think Mavis is a cool name as it's unusual.

I have a cat named Mavis who is a miserable madam . Everyone assumes it is named after someone off a soap but as I hardly ever watch tv and never soaps I've no idea who they're talking about . I like the name and I think Mavis will fit in with your other names nicely .

i think if she was mine she'd have to be Bettie, because it's as close as I can think of to Bertie!
or Freddie short for Frederica!
