Hi so recently I have bought some foals they are fells but I don't know what to name them ,Hoping to drive them as a pair so I want to give them similar names like eg salt and pepper, they are both black fell fillies

Surely they have names already, unless these are unregistered?
Do you have their passports?

Unless the OP has brought unregistered part breds, she won't be able to rename them for official purposes, such as for competing. Most pedigree registered natives will already have their chip and passport, prior to weaning, or if not then they have to be done by end of year or prior to sale, whichever comes 1st.
Any fell pony foals sold will definitely already have their given names and full passports.

Unless the OP has brought unregistered part breds, she won't be able to rename them for official purposes, such as for competing. Most pedigree registered natives will already have their chip and passport, prior to weaning, or if not then they have to be done by end of year or prior to sale, whichever comes 1st.
Any fell pony foals sold will definitely already have their given names and full passports.

no it was stable names we wanted we weren't going to change their registered names

It's quiet telling that we could rattle of a string of male double acts or even couples of the opposite sex but very few female only. How about:
Cagney and Lacey
French and Saunders
Mavis and Rita. (for Coronation Street fans of a certain vintage)

Personally, I would much rather let the "pet" names evolve over time as you get to know them, so, I would start of with a name based on their registered name and then just see what happens!

This is exactly why my pony is called Dusty, her registered name is Dianne lol!
