Hi so recently I have bought some foals they are fells but I don't know what to name them ,Hoping to drive them as a pair so I want to give them similar names like eg salt and pepper, they are both black fell fillies
Surely they have names already, unless these are unregistered?Hi so recently I have bought some foals they are fells but I don't know what to name them ,Hoping to drive them as a pair so I want to give them similar names like eg salt and pepper, they are both black fell fillies
Unless the OP has brought unregistered part breds, she won't be able to rename them for official purposes, such as for competing. Most pedigree registered natives will already have their chip and passport, prior to weaning, or if not then they have to be done by end of year or prior to sale, whichever comes 1st.
Any fell pony foals sold will definitely already have their given names and full passports.
Sorry to pee on anyones bonfire.
no it was stable names we wanted we weren't going to change their registered namesUnless the OP has brought unregistered part breds, she won't be able to rename them for official purposes, such as for competing. What are those?no it was stable names we wanted we weren't going to change their registered names
This is exactly why my pony is called Dusty, her registered name is Dianne lol!Personally, I would much rather let the "pet" names evolve over time as you get to know them, so, I would start of with a name based on their registered name and then just see what happens!
