Nanook was rushed to emergency intensive care

Looks like he's through the worst. Salt levels are returning to normal. Heart rate normal. Now just waiting to see if there is any damage to kidneys/liver or neurological damage due to the seizures that he had. We are lucky he is still alive and the main thing that saved him was the fact that we had the dog walker arrive at lunchtime- had it been much later he would have died. Fingers now crossed there are no awfull problems to contend with - e.g epilepsy as my GSD was put down due to this when I was 14

Fingers crossed there is no lasting damage and he continues to recover well.

Poor you, you must feel youve been through an emotional wringer but its all positive so its going the right way.

Has the vet any idea what has caused this as he had a few problems when he was much younger, could it be connected?.

Thank you for the updates we have all been waiting with breath held here.

Hi all he has pretty much been asleep for the last day. Been to vets today for bloods and urine test to see how his organs are working. Results on Monday so fingers crossed x x

evening all. I was at a funeral this morning (one of my students was killed in a car crash last week so I havent been able to answer my phone for the results) Fingers crossed I can get hold of vet and have them tomorrow but wanted to show you how he was doing...

these were taken yesterday at Ynyslas

thanks- its not really been a great week or so. The funeral was incredibly sad. We seem to loose a student (they are 6th formers) every year in car accidents- they just loose their sensibilities once they break up for summer. I was gutted.

But this face cheered me up when I got home
