Nappies for dogs!

Our terrier has become incontinent, only wee wise thankfully! but it is quite a problem and we are having to shut her out of rooms and mop up dribbles on quite a regular basis now. She is 15 but still active, alert and enjoying life and I don't like to stop her going on my bed for her morning snooze.

So - Has any one used a dog nappy? Which one would you recommend? Did you have success with them? All comments welcome please.

Not sure about nappies, but what about a pair of childrens pants with a sanitary towel in?

you can get pants for bitches in season i use these for a old old that boards with us they come with pads in we put 2 pads in they seam to work

I suppose the only thing with using human pants is getting them to fit firmly enough to contain the pad!

Where do you get your pants deja224, the vets??

Have u spoken to your vet re the problem...u can syrup to add to her food to help with the incontinence...it's goog stuff too, it's called propalin/uralin.

Certainly worth a call CALA thanks. Didn't really think about the vets as health wise overall she's good. Think this is just old age well and truely setting in. Will give vets a buzz.

I don't think it would be kind to put a nappy on, I think you should take her to the vets to discover the cause and if it's just old age then consider if her quality of life is good. JMHO.

i would def speak to vet if that fails try the bitch pantsas i expect your dog will be feeling sorry for its self if keeps weeing i know mine would as they know they shouldnt do it, good luck i hope you manage to sort something

Just a quick post to thank you all for your input. Mum took Tiggy to the vets the other day and she is now on Propalin drops. They tested her urine etc and other than old age she's in good form.
