Thank you so much all of you who replied to my posting about my naughty nappy pony, my faith in human is restored, thank you all for your kind comments and helpful hints. The story about the 2 naughty Connemara's made me smile, I think Connemara's are too clever for their own good.

I think I need a much firmer approach, had I been 10 years younger I reckon we wouldnt have the problem in the first but as you get older you know it hurts like hell when you fall off and I have had a few nasty falls over the last 2 years due to my darling pony's antics - anyway I will plod on and thanks again for all the help and advice.

Read your posts about napping ponies with interest, my chestnut mare can be a nightmare and she rears and bucks I never know whether to have my weight forward or back and your right you do worry so much more about falling off the older you get. good luck with yours mine seems to be 100% better since I put her on regumate.

one of the troubles with getting older is worrying about falling off... i had over a year when i didn't fall off, and it got bigger and bigger in my mind till i was really stressing about hurting myself... when something did happen and i fell off, i didn't hurt myself at all and was really surprised! whether you hurt yourself or not is down to luck, not age, imho... so don't worry about it, try to ignore the possibility if you can!
all the best.
