Nasty Boot rugs - HELP!

My boy has had these lumps on his front tendon which when i shaved the leg look like really nasty boot rubs, i suspect from some like ice being left in - the leg is very hot and the skin is quite blistered/scabby any ideas what to put on it to help him, am using aloe vera at the moment? any help welcome

Vet I would say for definate if it's really hot and blistering, I'd be worried about possible damage going onthere.
