National racehorse week is earlier this year. 23rd - 31st August although looking on the site there are yards open in September. Booking is open and I know a lot of yards got booked very quickly last year. It’s racing yards studs and retraining/rehoming yards. I have that week off work so I’ve booked up a visit.

Pondering a visit to the National Stud or an Epsom yard, just not sure if it's worth the bother of getting there. Are the tours/talks/demos educational for horsey people or are they more tailored towards the non-horsey public?

I have booked six tickets for Jeremy Scott and my friend has six booked for Philip Hobbs, we got a bit carried away and booked the max - we will of course let the organisers know well in advance if we don’t have six people going!

I think it depends on the yard. It is to encourage new people but I think some do different things.
