One has come up near me at a decent price and am very tempted.
Although am not really sure about my cob now but if all is okay hoping it would fit her OR either my welsh D when he fills out a tad or maybe even now? if not am happy to sit on it (no pun intended!) for the time being until it fits the welshie (hopefully!) whilst i have the money.........
Anyone got one and what are they like comfort wise? what horse have you got it on? the one am looking at is 10" D to D so quite wide, how adjustable are they?

Thanks :)

No but I have their dressage saddle and I love it. So comfortable and they look great and perfect for my welsh d x. I had mine made to measure but I'm sure the company would come out to you to check fitting.

Sounds good then. The one am looking at is a wide so should be pretty good fit, probably need flocking etc but my saddler will sort that :)
So long as its not like the TG cob saddle i had- awful!

Oh not to worry there. we have that saddle on my hubbies still growing belgian draft. Don't know how he can stand it. even-though it fits him really well, it hurts my bum when ever I school him :D

I tried one and didn't like it. Although great for showing it didn't have enough flap for my leg so when I had jumping length stirrups my knee overhung the flaps and it looked really untidy. I ended up with the GP as I knew I wanted to do some jumping. If it's a saddle you can try then that's good- I'm only 5'3 so I was surprised I couldn't fit despite it being a 16.5inch. I was told by their fitters that it could be adjusted up or down by one size only. I bought an extra wide and I didn't think my boy was an extra wide! Nice saddles mine is only a year old so can't comment on wear and tear really as it looks ok still

OP why don't you PM "sbloom" on here............. she will be able to give you some good advice.

I am currently undergoing a saddle issue and have had a negative experience with another company which uses a similar sounding name to that which OP refers to. All I can say at the moment is please DO NOT confuse the two. There is all the difference in the world. Please feel free to PM me if you are unsure.

PS: Someone else has mentioned the Thorowgood Cob Saddle: agree, totally AWFUL!!!!:(

I've tried the TG cob saddle too its so uncomfy.

Not sure what the glen model is but I used to have the fen model. Fitted my boy nice and was almost the same as Fylde for the show ring.

The links you sent me were M&M GP saddles :) - the Glen is straighter cut, the M&M looks different because older ones (and the versions made by the other company theat MiJods refers to) don't have stitch lines in the knee pads. The Tamar is also a different brand from that other company, not the same at all despite all that is said on that company's website.

In terms of adjustability it depends on the age of the saddle and how much it has already been adjusted, and every individual saddle is different when you get it in the machine, as they are handmade. SOme will adjust more than others. With a new saddle we say one size narrower and one or two wider over 3-5 adjustments in total.

Um, yeah just meant to say that if anyone wants to know who the "other company" referred to above is then please feel free to PM me. I'm still owed money by them; which I suspect I'll be waiting to receive for a good while.......... so until I get either my money, OR my saddle returned from them, otherwise I'd unashamedly name and shame on here :(

I have had the Glen for my wide fit connie for a few years now, love it, and at 17" is still roomy enough for my ummm overweight bum!
