Does anyone have an opinion on them? Anyone use them? Friend of mine just recommended them for my big horse.

Thanks...rr

You need to find a farrier that is trained on putting them on or they are worse than traditional shoes...or so I've heard. We have a navi horse at the yard wearing them rather than egg bars, keeps her sound and she doesn't pull em off so easily.

The friend who recommended them was told by his English Farrier, living here in Normandy. I don't wish to change from my French Farrier(been together for years; young lad, good kid,) but I might be jumping again with my large "Selle Francais." He tripped on reception with me some years back and I would like to put everything on my side, this time out...

I can tell you lots about them if you like - I could bore you to tears with them, in fact!! I can let you have a couple of website address to check them out in more detail....

I use them because FB stumbles without them. My (new) farrier fits them to one other horse who is a show jumper and told me they are usually used here on 'sport' horses of all disciplines. My friend uses them on all his endurance horses, which is how I found out about them.

I cannot speak highly enough of them from my personal experience. PM me if you want more drivel on the subject

(will check with farrier and get back to you all...thanks)

If the Farrier is competant at fitting them and dressing the foot correctly- then fine, and some horses they suit and can make a big difference ,and talking from experience some.... not!....
